 Ultra-Compact 1-Piece Design
The WatchGuard DV-1 Overhead Version is a 1-piece overhead mounted console. This version integrates the drives (DVD & hard drive), the processors, and the control panel all in a single, compact enclosure.
Simple Installation - No Trunk Mounting!
The Overhead Version is designed to fit in the vast majority of law enforcement vehicles.Since the system is so compact, there is nothing to mount in the trunk. This dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of installation, removal, and reinstallation. When it's time to transition the DV-1 from an old vehicle to a new vehicle, chances are you will only need a few inexpensive updated mounting hardware pieces, saving your agency the expense of purchasing a new system.

Visor Post Mounting
A heavy-duty, vehicle specific mounting bracket mounts the DV-1 to the existing visor posts, therefore no holes or drilling are required for installation. Since the DV-1 is merely 6" wide, it easily fits between the visors of most standard police vehicles.

DVD Drive Suspension System
The DVD drive is ingeniously suspended by springs inside a shielded cavity, and is effectively stabilized by silicone oil dampeners. This elaborate system isolates the drive from the shock and vibration from the vehicle and road surface conditions. Shock impacts to the DVD drive are reduced by 99.25%!

Locking Drive Door
The DVD drive is accessed by unlocking and opening a counter-balanced drive door. The slot loading mechanism makes is easy to insert or eject discs.
Ruggedized Hard Drive
Employing new technology, the integrated automotive-grade hard drive features fluid bearings, and can continue to operate even through a 200G shock impact! The drive is further shielded and protected with vibration and shock dampening grommets.
