Robert Vanman
President & C.E.O.
Robert Vanman is a successful entrepreneur who has founded two previous companies, the second of which became an Inc. 500 company. He went on to become an owner/partner of Applied Concepts (Stalker Radar) which, under his tenure, grew into the number one police radar manufacturer in the U.S. In 2002 Robert Vanman sold his interest in Stalker Radar and founded WatchGuard Video. He currently holds 5 patents and has 7 additional patents pending. Mr. Vanman is a leader focused on product innovation and quality, and has been able to attract and retain high caliber managers in every department in the company.
Andrew Cilia, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer
Andrew Cilia, Ph.D. brings 19 years of engineering experience in the design and production of military, industrial, and commercial systems ranging from missile guidance systems to consumer products. Andrew holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering specializing in optical target tracking from the University of Texas at Dallas. Andrew holds a number of patents and has a great deal of experience engineering products involved in "black ops" for government use.
Alan Gant, Ph.D.
Vice President of Engineering
Alan Gant has over 25 years of success building and leading engineering teams in entrepreneurial organizations. Alan has built winning engineering product organizations in consumer products, enterprise computing, supercomputers, semiconductors, and engineering software. His successes range from founding startups to Hewlett Packard, a Fortune 50 company. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture (EE) at the University of Illinois, and holds several patents.
Dennis Pirkle
Vice President of Operations
Dennis Pirkle has an extensive background in Law Enforcement dating back to the 1970's. He retired as a Police Chief from a city in North Texas while at the same time was a Special Deputy United States Marshal. After his law enforcement retirement, Dennis was sworn as a Municipal Court Judge where he still serves part time and also as one of the Jail Magistrates for a large county in North Texas. Mr. Pirkle comes to WatchGuard Video with over 5 years sales management experience at Stalker Radar and varied other management experiences through the years including his own management consulting firm. Dennis was also the COO & General Manager of a computer parts manufacturing firm in the Dallas Texas area for 5 years.
Mark McHenry
Vice President, Service and Support
Mark McHenry comes to WatchGuard Video with a successful 11 year career at Informatics, Inc. While at Informatics he was Product Support Manager using his technical abilities as a Software Engineer and IT Manager to provide the finest Customer Support in their industry. Mark has also developed the models and infrastructure for other Product Support departments at Wasp Technologies US, Wasp Technologies Europe and SystemID Warehouse which are all divisions of Informatics, Inc. WatchGuard Video was very fortunate to obtain the services of Mark whose dedication to Customer Service is a real passion. He is a passionate customer advocate which is directly aligned with the business philosophy of WatchGuard Video.
Randy Comer
Vice President of Sales
Randy Comer has 25 plus years of experience in the defense and law enforcement arenas with the likes of ITT, Northrup Grumman, Texas Instruments and Westinghouse. Randy brings significant talent in the management of Business Development, Engineering and Program Management organizations. His efforts were also key in bringing night vision products to the law enforcement community.
Herbert D. Severin III
Director of Global Business Development
With more than fifteen years of experience managing domestic and international responsibilities, WatchGuard Video is excited to have Mr. Severin take on this strategic responsibility. Herbert has marked his career by establishing an expertise in rapid ramp ups within start-up organizations. Key roles have included building the initial Inside Sales group for Stalker Radar seeing an immediate increase of 30% in sales, launching new products and establishing an account management protocol for a nitch application telecommunications firm with an net 300% increase in product usage, and finally serving as a consultant to the purchasing departments of major commercial airlines including Northwest Airlines and Singapore Airlines delivering an ongoing average of more than 25% in savings conducting single airline and multi airline cooperative sourcing projects involving building a competitive landscape among manufacturers in Europe, the Unites States, and Asia (including China). His charter at WatchGuard Video is to build the U.S. domestic Business Development group, and to establish a network of global sales partners.
Steven Teese
Director of National Sales
Steve graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Degree in Business Administration with a major in Management. He started his career in sales with Carnation, selling to institutions in the Twin Cities market. After three years of sales growth, he transferred companies and went to work for Honeywell, moving to Iowa. Mr. Teese has worked for Honeywell International over 20 years, in a number of different roles, all in the sales arena. Steve has been a top performer, finishing number 1 in the south, the last two years with them. Also during his 20 years with Honeywell, he has been a manager, a sales trainer, and led four new product developments that contributed over $30 million in new revenue.
Ted Hajec
Director of Manufacturing
Ted Hajec comes to WatchGuard Video with an extensive background in the arena of electronic and technical manufacturing, procurement, and product delivery. Ted's experience spans from AT&T Technologies, Lucent Technologies, Celion Networks, Celestica, and Tyco Electronics in the capacity of Manufacturing Operations Manager to Director of Operations. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Science in engineering and Global Operations Management. Ted's expertise and experience enhances and compliments the team of professional engineering and producing the WatchGuard Video product line.
David "Russell" Walker, CPA
Controller
Russell Walker joined WatchGuard Video in 2005 with 12 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with the last 6 years as a controller for a medium sized company. Russell is a Certified Public Accountant who received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Russell's broad range of experience in all areas of accounting and finance has given him the ability to manage the financial affairs and banking relationships for WatchGuard Video.
