WatchGuard Video Announces Production Shipping of the DV-1
PLANO, TX - After over 3 years of product development with over 20 engineers, programmers, and scientists, WatchGuard Video has completed the design and testing of the DV-1 and begun full production of the DV-1 with systems starting to ship to customers on October 25, 2005. The WatchGuard DV-1 is the revolutionary digital police in-car video system that records onto re-writable DVD-Video discs that play on regular DVD players.
"With a long list of waiting customers and nearly 400 agencies already requesting demonstrations, it will take us nearly two months just to fill all of our back orders", cautioned Gary Seagraves, the Vice President of Operations for WatchGuard Video.
The WatchGuard DV-1 is revolutionary for the law enforcement community because it enables an agency to move up to the highest quality digital video without having to purchase, install, and manage a massive back office video server computer system.
WatchGuard Video C.E.O., a former owner of Applied Concepts / Stalker Radar said, "We are so excited to have reached this point where we can deliver this revolutionary product to our long list of anxious customers. The beauty of Direct-to-DVD-Video technology is that it is extremely simple for customers to understand and to use the equipment. As a manufacturer, the challenge is that this technology is very complex to develop in a compact platform like the DV-1 that doesn't rely on a bulky, trunk mounted, personal computer to function."
